Endorsed by the Worshipful Company of Farriers and the National Association of Farriers Blacksmiths and Agricultural Engineers, the website enables potential clients to search for a farrier by name, qualification or location.

Farriers may register on a two-tiered basis –

  • A BASIC database entry which is FREE OF CHARGE and will display your name, highest qualification, telephone number and location or,
  • A WEBPAGE entry which is £100** plus VAT for 12 months (£50 plus VAT for farriers qualified in the last 12 months) which will include your own web page to promote yourself and your business and may include experience, specialism’s such as therapeutic and remedial work, farriery achievements and of course an image!

 In addition to providing you with a great online opportunity to market your own business Farriers Pages provides us with a platform on which we can help to create better communication channels with the equine public. The apprenticeship, farriery qualifications, continuing professional development and the industry governing bodies are all explained here to provide the equine enthusiast with the information they need. The Hoofcare Resource features relevant articles on horse and hoof health care in addition to publishing press releases regarding the industry's latest developments.

Farriers Pages also has the facility to include a register of farriers who may be willing to work on a ‘freelance’ basis for other farriers to cover particularly busy times, holidays and illness.

Farriers Registration Terms and Conditions

  • Advertisers should allow up to five working days from receipt of the advertisement for it to be published. The advertising period will begin from the day on which the advertisement is published.
  • Payment (webpage only) is due within 14 days of the advertisement being published.
  • The Advertiser may choose to specify a day on which the advertisement is to be published by prior arrangement with the website Administrator.
  • Advertisement period will expire when prepaid advertisement has ended unless further payment has been made.
  • The Advertiser will be notified when the advertisement is live, the advertiser has five working days to inform Farriers Pages (Forge & Farrier) if they are not happy with their advertisement at which point the advertisement will be removed and a refund given.
  • Any Advertiser withdrawing an advertisement/notice before the prepaid expiry period, with the exception of the five working day rule, will forfeit the money remaining for the prepaid period.
  • The advertiser will be given 14 days notice prior to the end of their prepaid advertisement period. If further funds are not received by the end of the prepaid period the advertisement will be withdrawn from the website.
  • Payment may be by cheque or bank transfer. Cheques are to be made payable to Forge & Farrier.
  • All advertisers are responsible for supplying their own images and text.
  • Each application will be checked on the FRC Register to ensure that every farrier is appropriately registered.
  • There is one yearly fee of £100 + VAT. The yearly charge is to include unlimited updates that the Advertiser may wish to make.
  • It is the responsibility of the Advertiser to ensure that the details within the advertisement remain correct and up to date.
  • Farriers Pages (Forge & Farrier) does not accept any responsibility for the content of external websites.
  • Farriers Pages (Forge & Farrier) reserves the right to refuse advertising space and all advertisements are subject to the approval of the Administrator.

By confirming your wish to advertise (whether online, by text, email or phone) you confirm that you have read and agree with the terms and conditions as outlined above and understand that payment (where applicable) is required in full within 14 days of the advertisement being published. A receipt will be generated for your records.
